ALICE NOGUEIRA (they/them) is a Brazilian theatre director, performer and dramaturg based in Berlin.

In 2022 they directed and did the dramaturgy of the piece The Name of the Piece, premiered at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt am Main. The piece was created with the support of the Hessischen Theaterakademie and the city of Frankfurt am Main.

In the same year, in partnership with elena rose light, they did dramaturgy for the project Trans-Practices for everyday life in the city of Frankfurt am Main, also showed by Künstlerhaus Mousonturm and supported by the Neuestart Kultur Stepping Out Program and the Hessischen Theaterakademie.

In 2021 they were funded by Dis-tanzen Solo Stipend Programme for Freelancer Dance Professionals with the project Lines: when writing meets dancing. The same project will be continue in 2022 with the support of Neuestart Kultur Stepping Out Program, and will result in the production of an ebook to be launched by the end of the year.

In 2020 they were granted, together with Ana Clara Montenegro, with the Projektstipendien für Einzelkünstler*innen to develop Project.Fail. The pièce had its premiere at Studio NAXOS in 2021 and was presented by Frankfurt Frauen Festivan in the same year. The same project had a version created for the YouTube Platform, named Project.Fail: ERROR 404, which was awarded with the the 34° Stuttgarter Filmwinter in the category Culture Network Expanded Media. It was also showed VViP Festival in Frankfurt am Main and Proposal for the Circumstances in Gießen in 2020.

Artistic director and dramaturg of the Brazilian Collective Coletivo Cronópio since 2005, they wrote and directed the piece Favor beber o leite, senão estraga (Please drink the milk otherwise it spoils), granted with 2 funds for creation and presentation. The piece was showed by 5 theaters in São Paulo as well as in another 15 cities. Also with Coletivo Cronópio they wrote and directed (instruções para compor uma peça) - Se for viver, leia antes (instructions to make a theatre piece - if you want to live, read it before hands), showed by 5 theaters in the city of São Paulo.

As performer they took part in three recent productions in Germany, Living Noise, Alltagsrauschen and Terminal X, both works leaded by the collective Untere Reklamationsbehörder, from the artists Julia Mihály, Maria Hüber and Tobias Hagedorn.

In 2019 they took part in Unlimited Bodies, a seven days performative experiment that took place in the Performa Festival in New York City. The performance was idealized by Dimitri Chamblas and Sigrid Pawelke.

Currently, Alice takes part in the MA program Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft in JLU Gießen. They also holds a Master Degree in Theater from the University of São Paulo and a BA in Theater Direction.
