Words choreograph our embodied realities. They can be the difference between feeling displaced or belonging to a place. The right pronoun has the power to make the world liveable, yet it also reveals the limits of gendered categories. Identity labels route resources towards marginalized groups, while also reducing their multiplicity.  
When we play with this relationship between words and bodies, space opens up for more complex meanings to emerge. This chasm between things and the names we give to those things is where “If I were to place you entirely into a poem” exists. Through a digital, interactive poetry book and an accompanying durational performance, we occupy a liminal environment in which it is possible to re-signify reality, re-create language, and re-choreograph movement.
